Sushi-cookie.net:

What in the world is a sushicookie? I have no idea actually. I would suppose it would be a cookie made from sushi? Sounds kinda gross to me. I actually don’t LOVE sushi. In fact, nothing about it makes me want to eat it. MAYBE how cute it looks? I dunno. I don’t eat it. So my alias is hypocritical. Not saying I don’t LOVE fish. I just don’t like sushi.

The name actually came about from my old online handle, Sersokhi. I played World of Warcraft on my druid, and a friend couldn’t pronounce that to save his life. He STILL cannot pronounce it five years later. So he read it as “sushi-cookie”. I thought it was hilarious, and it stuck. It was my secret alias for a long while before I just picked it up and started using it everywhere.

Me:

I’m a 25 year old mother of one, wife to a Sheriff’s Officer. I’m currently going to school for my Personal Trainer Certifications. I know i can get those by just taking a test, but I’d rather be an educated PT and not just someone who passed a test.

Mr. Sushicookie!

I started being more serious about my health and overall fitness and shape after I had a miscarriage and needed to improve myself. My husband has always been a pretty fit guy, mostly. He’s always had weights around the house. And when we first started dating he was a gym rat and had some pretty big muscles. I was a skinny girl most my life, till I had a kid. We started working out together towards a more lean and cut style instead of massive and well.. huge,  back in March of 2009. We saw the P90x Infomercials and thought “we can do this”. And so we did.

Me and Lil Sushi

After graduating from P90X, we picked up Insanity. Insanity is the program I learned I have plantar fasciitis with! The intense on your feet business flared it up and I was off my feet for a couple months.

Now I Do a p90x/Insanity hybrid program as well as going to the Private Gym down at the Sheriff’s Station a couple times a week. I really enjoy it.

I started out at 138lbs, I’m now a consistent 120 after dropping to 117.

And for all those ladies out there that think only some people can be fit and skinny, nope. It’s all about the drive. Heres my before out of shape photos. I hate them, but I love to share them and show how much I’ve changed.

Fitblogs.info:

Fit Blogs is a health listing I co-operate with Bry Jensen of Embrace Fire. I host it and do all the technical stuff for it, as well as fund it. We had decided there wasn’t a good list of health related blogs that we could find anywhere at the time. So we created one! And together we operate the listing as well as post a Fit Point, which is a blog meme, at the beginning of every week for fitness bloggers to participate in and get free publicity from.

We accept nearly all applications that are relevant to our topic.
